Non-Kinetic Operations Coordination Course 3 (NKOCC - 3)

The National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) and the Peace Building Development Consult (PBDC) are collaborating to organize a 3-day course on Non-Kinetic Operations Coordination Course 4. This initiative is a response to the prevalent insecurity challenges in Nigeria, including insurgency, terrorism, banditry, ethno-religious crisis, kidnappings, and farmers-herders’ conflicts. While commendable efforts have been made in terms of kinetic operations, the persistent nature of these threats necessitates a focus on non-kinetic approaches. The course aims to address the evolving tactics used by state and non-state actors, and the need for a coordinated non-kinetic strategy to complement kinetic efforts. Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of stable and conflict-free environments for economic, social, and political stability. The course seeks to establish a clear strategic direction for multi-agency operational frameworks tailored to national security needs, emphasizing the coordination and integration of kinetic and non-kinetic dimensions for effective security operations.
